Apps Crashing After an iOS Update

Update the crashing app from the App Store. If it already shows as current, delete and reinstall that app only. Do not restore the whole phone for one binary.

What you are seeing

One or more apps close immediately after you update iOS.

Why this happens

Apps compiled against an older SDK can fault on a new system. The App Store build is the fix. A full restore rarely beats a single reinstall.

Do this in order

App Store → account → Pending Updates. Update the failing app.
Offload the app, reinstall, and sign in again.
If several apps crash, restart once. If everything crashes, including Settings, use Recovery Mode Update.
Banking and authenticator apps often need a fresh login after a major iOS jump. That is expected, not corruption.

If it is still broken

An app that still crashes after a clean reinstall is the developer’s bug on the new SDK. Report it; do not downgrade iOS to chase one title.
